“Saved by the Bell” was one of the cool morning shows that kids, teens, and adults woke-up on Saturday morning just to watch. It was set in a junior high and high school, and followed California teens. “Saved by the Bell” was a cleaner and tamer version of “Beverly Hills 90210.” Unlike “Beverly Hills 90210”, “Saved by the Bell” did not air in primetime and it was not portrayed by real adults. “Saved by the Bell” aired during the Saturday morning hours and was portrayed by real teen actors. The comedy was light hearted and surrounded the teen cast as they went through life dealing with dating, school, grades, graduation, and summer jobs. It was a fun comedy for the 1990s as we watched Zack, Screech, Lisa, Slater, Jessie, and Mr. Belding interact with each other at Bayside High.
