Watch Happy Days on DVD and relive memories.   Happy Days DVDs are sold as single season sets or as a packaged set of multiple of multiple seasons.   Happy Days was a sitcom that the whole family could enjoy.  Although it was set in the 1950s and 1960s it was created during the 1970s and 1980s.

Audiences met characters, and actors, that they fell in love with.

We saw Ron Howard portray the teenage, Richie Cunningham.  Howard, at the time, was known for his portrayal of Opie Taylor, on the Andy Griffith Show.  We now know Ron Howard for the blockbuster movies he has directed:   Splash, Cocoon, Backdraft, Apollo 13, A Beautiful Mind, How the Grinch Stole Christmas, Frost/Nixon, The Da Vinci Code, and Angels & Demons.

Of Course who could forget Henry Winkler as the “The Fonz.”  Arthur Fonzarellie or Fonzie was a cultural icon.  Although he was originally supposed to be a minor character in the show, he stepped out as audience favorite and was elevated to a lead actor.

Although he joined the cast in later seasons, Scott Baio’s character,  Chachi Arcola, was a hit with the fans.  Chachi’s relationship with Joanie Cunningham led to the spinoff Joanie Love Cachi.  

Happy Days was a sitcom that had many different spinoffs: Laverne & Shirley, Mork & Mindy, and Joanie Loves Chachi.
